The adapter is a safe German Schuko (or French) to UK 13A. The reason is that unlike other 2 pin simple adapters, it has the earth connected to it. See attached photo. If you have an appliance that has an earthed plug and you connect it to the 2 pin adapter, in the case where the casing becomes live, it is not connected to earth and is therefore capable of electrocuting the user, possibly fatally. This 3 pin adapter connects the earth and is therefore safe.

This universal adapter works great with EU power plugs because of the round plug where other products uses a square form that does not fit into Danish sockets.

Have used this converter plug now several weeks and it is a good product. it fits right into the socket and does not have any problems connecting any other foreign connectors. Do recommend this powerplug!
