It heat quickly and works quite well. It is much cheaper than others brands and a great bang for the bucks. Cons: you'll need extra tips for bigger components, and there is no switch nor power indicator on the unit. I added a water boiler light bulb on mine, gotta add a lamp inline switch next. Still, I am very satisfied for the price.

I could not find a better de-soldering device in the same price bracket, this is a well tested and highly used model. Looking at reviews of the "newer updated models" it seems like this one is better after all. The dual pump models people complain are top heavy. The only drawback is I have seen videos showing this when it first came out and the build quality was slightly better than today -- there is suppose to be a "new" version 2 model but I could not find it, would have bought that if I could.

When I first received this item, I plugged it in , let it heat up and unsoldered several small transformers and chips and it worked perfectly, for about 5 minutes. The vacuum pump would not turn on. 30 minutes later, it worked again for 5 minutes then the vacuum pump would not turn on. I opened the gun, checked the wiring connections, wiggled a few suspect ones and it now has worked fine for another 2 hours. When it works, it works very well. I am totally happy with its functionality. It works

The price was good and the shipping was fast. CON= The front of the gun was sticking out of the retail box through a hole, even though the item packed in a thin retail box BUT that was shipped inside a plastic bag. I don't know what they were thinking, even if the retail box was not torn (big hole in retail box) you just don't ship a hard item in a plastic bag.

Works well, overall great for the price point. Following what I saw on some other websites, I cleaned the PCB, and applied Super Corona Dope to the board to insulate. Haven't had any issues, and have used it quite a bit.

its arrived good but i orderd a 110v and get 220v also to bad they not put a little bid larger nozzle with it

should have had one along time ago. Best thing since sliced bread.
